Of turbochargers and teamwork: This is how we experienced AMB 2024!
The AMB 2024 in Stuttgart was once again the metalworking industry event of the year and we are proud to have been there again as an exhibitor! The international exhibition, which has been a fixture in the metalworking industry since 1982, once again proved to be an indispensable platform for exchanging ideas and presenting new technologies. With over 65,000 trade visitors from all over the world and 1,244 exhibitors, the trade fair offered a unique opportunity to experience innovations in metalworking at first hand. And we were also able to successfully showcase our innovative products and solutions.
Our stand – a crowd puller
In Hall 1, Stand 1B66, our joint stand with Fritz Hartmann attracted many curious glances. We not only presented our precise solid carbide and PCD tools, but also our impressive 360° virtual showroom. Here, visitors were able to experience the digital process chain in all its depth.
In times when the world is increasingly focusing on energy saving, CO² neutrality and more efficient production, materials such as aluminium and titanium are increasingly coming into focus. And who would be better equipped than us? HAM knows how! The demand for our Diamond Milling Cutter (PCD) and our new HPC aluminium end mill series 40-5380 was very high, as well as for the new titanium end mills for grade 5, 40-3001 (3-cutter with central internal cooling for full-slot milling) and 40-3011 (5-cutter for trochoidal milling).
Therefore, numerous trade visitors took the opportunity to explore our innovative solutions and convince themselves of their quality directly on site. Our experts were always on hand to provide detailed explanations and answer questions. The positive feedback shows just how valuable this direct exchange was.
Experience precision at first hand: Live machining with SolidCAM
Another highlight was the cooperation with our showroom partner SolidCAM. At a joint event with the Ladermanufaktur, our tools were used for the high-end live machining of compressor housings for turbochargers from JP Performance GmbH – an exciting project that was not only impressive from a technical point of view. The precision and efficiency of the machining process impressed many visitors and illustrated just how powerful and efficient modern machining technologies can be today. This was not only a demonstration of our technical expertise, but also a sign of the innovative strength of the entire industry.
Focus on digital solutions
Another important aspect that made us feel positive is the great interest in digital solutions. The demand for ways to make processes more efficient and flexible is constantly increasing – and we are proud to be actively shaping this change as an innovative partner. It is fascinating to see how digitalisation is increasingly being put into practice and the crucial role these technologies play in this.
Professional exchange and promotion of young talent
Aside from the technical aspects, AMB 2024 also offered us the opportunity to maintain existing contacts and establish new partnerships. At the stand party organised by our partner SolidCAM, we were able to exchange ideas with industry colleagues and customers in a relaxed atmosphere. In an industry characterized by digitalization, automation and technological transformation, such meetings are essential to keep up with the times and shape the future of metalworking together.
A particularly enjoyable experience was the conversation with students from the Filderstadt secondary school. In a quiz, we were able to show them in a playful way how our tools are used in aircraft construction – and that the small rivets you see on the wings of an Airbus have a major impact on the safety and efficiency of the aircraft. The enthusiasm of the young visitors was infectious and showed us how important it is to get young people interested in technical careers at an early age. Perhaps we were able to inspire one or two future engineers or technicians!
Our conclusion on AMB 2024: Strong together into the future
For us, AMB 2024 was an event that was successful in every aspect. From the presentation of our products to the many intensive technical discussions and networking – the trade fair showed that the metalworking industry is full of dynamism and potential despite the challenges in the economic environment.
We would like to thank all visitors, customers and partners who visited us at AMB 2024 and look forward to the future projects that will result from the many interesting discussions and new contacts.
Let’s continue to drive the future of metalworking forward together!
